Nekromanteio
Oracle
Near the village Mesopotamos and in the contribution of Aherontas
river with Kwkytos river it was the Ancient city Efyra which prosperd
the 5th and 6th century b.C. The visitors from the world webt
in the oracle where they could after initiation, contact with
their deads.
Gitani
Political centre of Thesproton and second, at order of
antiquity, capital of Thesprotia. Was fortified with polygonal
wall of 2400m perimeter, and saved height of 2-3m. The region
extent amounts in 280 acres while the built region extent amounts
in 180 acres
Westwards,
externally the walls existed theatre of capacity of 4000 - 5000
spectators.
Nikopoli
In the entry of Amvrakikos gulf in 31 b.C took place the naval
battle of Aktio between Antonios, Oktavianos and Cleopatra. Oktavianos
constructed Nikopoli in recollection of Naval battle.
